Breastfeeding and allergy medication
« on: August 27, 2005, 00:25:12 am »
I have  a horrible bout of hay fever right now, does anyone know if I can take anything for this?  I could call the ped's office but am wondering if anyone else suffers from seasonal allergies?   thanks :)

Hello, check out http://www.kellymom.com for a list of meds ok to use.  I think Claritin is ok to use but check on that site to be sure.

I have horrible seasonal allergies as well so I asked my Dr.  He said the newer meds like Claritin are fine but to stay away from things like Benedryl because they will make your baby sleepy (I told him that was a good thing right  )
