15mo dd just discovered she can climb all over the playhouse in our yard and she LOVES it! Many happy hours of A time there! But it has left her little hands with teeny splinters in! :( Anyone know of a painless way to get them out? They don't seem to bother her, and I thought they might work their way out with hot baths but no luck so far....

When my lo had splinters in her finger from our gate, I took them out with tweezers. Like u I had tried the hot baths for a couple of days & no luck. She wasn't bothered by them for the first few days and then she started rubbing her finger & crying so after her bath I took them out with tweezers and it didn't seem to hurt her. She even said "thank you" afterwards!! ;D
Hope that helps

I usually use tweezers and they come out fine.
If they are particularly stubborn I have a drawing ointment that I got from the chemist (pharmacist) that works well. You just lather on and then cover with a bandage/bandaid for 24 hours or so and they come out no problem.

Maybe a coat of paint on the playhouse so she doesn't get any more?

Thanks for the advice! i will try with the tweezers tonight although cutting fingernails is almost an impossible task so I am not looking forward to it! Otherwise I'll see if I can find that ointment.... Coat of paint is a good idea too, it's not our playhouse though so we'll have to see if they mind....
thank you!
