Hi,

Just curious to see when everyone's lo's stopped the nightwakings/feedings in the night and started consistently sleeping at least 10+ hours straight through the night.

OK I'll start...Cohen started sleeping from 6am to 5:30am when he was 4 months old.  He now sleeps at least 12 hours straight with no wake-ups/feedings in the night.  He is just over 5 months now.

Thanks

Michelle  :)

I like to brag a little...my LO slept 10 hours with one wake up time at 5 weeks!  But...she did her first 10 hr stretch at 12 weeks!  I am happy to be so lucky - I am one of those people that needs LOTS of sleep to be functional and happy! ;D

Hmmm.....

I found BW at 4months.  We did pupd-pat/shh for paci at 4months - he slept 7p to DF to 3am feed to 7am.  Then dropped the 3am feed himself at 4.5 months and slept 7pm to DF (1030p) to 7am.  At 6.5 months we got rid of the DF and he sleeps 7pm to 7am.  He never woke at the DF, I just scooped him up, fed him and put him back.

Before I found BW - he slept maybe 9p to 11p then was up every hour to have the paci put in til we got up for the day at 6am ::)  I don't miss those days lol.  I LOVE BW!

We started BW at 3 weeks and were extreamly lucky to have 12 hour nights at 8 weeks.

While few do this I am fortunite to be one of them, but I just know I wont be as lucky with #2

well just to let you know it doesn't always keep happening.
Aiden slept about 10.5-11 hours from 4months until he was 7mo & then teething/childcare/mobility started him waking & it then took until he got his last molars at 27 months old before we got regular every night (except illness) full nights of sleep (also co-incided with no childcare  :o).... we'd get runs of 2-3 days here & there but never consistent until  the last 9 months.

Liam slept through 11 hours from 3 months & then apart from a 2 weeks after a time in hospital, he slept through until 7mo & then it has been on off since, although all his wakings are directly related to teething/illness or mobility.

Both my boys seem to have a double dose of the "male pain gene" & are dying when teething ;D

E did 10 hours at night on his own at 3 months.

B did 10 hours on his own with no DF at 7 months.

I don't recall exactly...but on a consistent basis where I didn't fix a bottle "just in case" or carry extra pacis to bed, it would have to be 8.5 months.

DD 1 was 6 months, once i'd put her in her own room, she seemed to sleep far better(although i still  woke frequently). Whenever she's ill or teething she'll have a few wakings, but always goes back to sleep quickly.
DD 2 - still waiting! She's only just 5 months though, so there's plenty of time!

I BW'd from the start...

#1 was the "textbook" baby and slept through 10hrs from DF at 11wks but at 10mths things went haywire off and on for 1.5yrs before getting back on track
#2 despite her angel personality and ease of going to sleep etc only slept through about 8wks total in her first 12mths and then after 12mths has slept through the night consistently.

So even with the same techniques being used doesn't gurantee consistently sleeping through ime.

Slept through around 12wks.  Thought WOW how lucky am I  8) but DS soon put an end to that thought  ::).  Started waking at around 6mths and at 19mths he's still at it >:(

He does sleep through sometimes.  But as soon as he's teething or got a cold then it all goes out the window.  He gets used to the comforting he receives during these times and then it takes us a few weeks to get back on track.  Then a few days later it's time for another tooth or cold to come along.

Oh gosh, it's nice to see that we're not the only ones waiting to sleep through the night! DS is 4.5mo and we've only just had our very first (and so far, only) night of no wakeups from DF at 10:30 until 7am. So many of the other babies in my mothers group are already going 12hrs no feeds or wakeups  :o I often come away from our weekly visits wondering what I'm doing wrong. Stupid since it doesn't really bother me most of the time until I hear everyone else doing so much better  ::)

I have to correct my prior post.  It was aparently an anomoly.  So at 10MO we're still waiting.  Our night wakings seem to happen after 1am.

Ds #1 started bw at 6 weeks slept thru with df 7-7 off and on between 10 weeks and 16 weeks then once weaned at 16 weeks became consistent

Ds #2 now 9 weeks and doubt he will be doing the same at 10 weeks despite starting bw at week 1.  just shows how all babies are different.

First son was smaller and collicy luke is bigger and chilled out hardly cries but has reflux which i don't think helps our night cause.  Currently trying w2s to stop 2am waking tonigh will be first night without it am hoping for 3.30am waking like last 2 nights.

E was 6 months (not on bw)
C was 5 mths witha  df, 6 mths without df but just to let you know they do regress during first year, he is now waking at 5 am since 4 days ago, no idea why, seems to be developmental? (crawling, teething, standing etc...)   they just sleep though when they are ready, though a good routine is a good start!

DD slept with us at night and slept at different places (swing, sofa....) before I started BW EASY.  I started to put her in her crib for day time nap and then finally put her there at night when she turned 4 months with my fingers tightly crossed.  It has been like that since (knock on the wood)
