Playtex Dropin question
«
on:

Is there another size nipple other than rapid for the Playtex Drop in bottles. I think my LO needs a more rapid one now. He is getting fidgety while feeding. And he has been on rapid for months now. If not, what do I do?

Thanks, I am going to look today.
I tried Dr. Brown but the nipple gages him, I guess it is too long since he is use to the fatter nipples. And the playtex ventair smaller nipples with the Y cut are too fast so hopefully the drop in nipples try will do.

Okay, I searched for the tri cut nipple for playtex drop ins and can't find it at CVS, Walgreens, Wal-mart, or Babiesrus. I did see it online. Can you tell me where you found them before I order it online?

We found them at Wal-mart, but honestly they were the most popular and they seldom had them in stock. When they did, we bought ALOT of them, as ds loved to chew on nipples and ruin them!
Good luck!

If you still cannot find them try puting another hole or two in the rapid/fast flow nipple you have now using a small needle. That's what I had to do with the Playtex Vent Air and Playtex Insulator bottles. Just pushed the needle all the way through a new hole I created about 3mm apart from the original. I actually had to put 2 holes in them.

We found the Tri-Cut nipples at target and Babies R Us. I think even Long's Drugs and Albertson's too. I had to buy one package at a time cuz there was never a good stock at any store.
My DD had a hard time with them and we went back to the Fast Flow. I know it sounds impossible, but we couldn't get the formula to flow out and neither could she. I figured it was a different sucking pattern or something and retired them, thinking our next step will be the sippy cup. Anyone else have this problem? Maybe I should give it another try?

I've never heard of not being able to get formula out befor, Just press the nipple.. it may be frustrating for your LO though since its not free flow, it was for DD for a cople feeds till she got it down.

Did you try the vent aire fast nipple? I found a big difference between the drop in fast and the vent aire fast. I also found the drop in fast nipples were too slow. Honestly, my little guy couldn't get anything out of the tri-cut nipples. Babies r us carries them.

Can you interchange them or did you switch to the Vent Aire bottles? I'm thinking of just moving to a sippy cup and removing the flow regulator.

i switched bottles-i only use the drop ins when he's not getting cereal. The tri cut just didn't work. I kept trying but he couldn't get anything out.

Yeah, my DD has the same problem. Her sucking pattern doesn't work with the tri-cut nipples. I don't want to buy all new bottles at this statge. Maybe I'll try again (maybe she'll figure it out) or maybe I'll just go to the sippy cup since we need to start that transition anyway.
