how long does the transitional phase last?
« on: March 03, 2007, 03:18:19 am »
DS is now unwrapped has been for the last 10 days, but does keep waking up now due to rolling over onto his tummy all the time ::), (was sleeping from 7pm to about 4 /5 am without waking) so how long will it take for him to settle into a position for sleep, as at the moment we put him on his side but he always rolls to his tummy, then he only wants to try and crawl so wakes himself up  :o

Should we try him on his tummy? or just leave it up to him?

I'm getting him to try to roll from his tummy to his back during the day, plus I give him plenty of tummy time.

I think you just keep doing what you are doing.  The developmental stuff just kind of works itself out.  My little one would pull herself to stand and then be unable to get back down  ::)  You could try to start him on his tummy if you are comfortable with that.  Once mine could roll over I was fine with her tummy sleeping.  Hope that helps
