Hi, not sure if I am posting in the right forum or not but I was wondering when others had started giving their LO water?  Also did you give LO sippy cup empty before hand to get them used to the cup?

I started my LO on a sippy with water around 6 months, but he really didn't start drinking water until maybe 8 months, and that was from an open cup.  The sippy he didn't get the hang of until closer to 12 months.  It's all a lot of practice.  :)

I gave my dd a sippy with water at about 4.5 months but she didn't start to drink out of it until about 5 when i put a little bit of juice in the water.

She is now 7mths, drinks out of her sippy all day, even though she hasn't yet mastered the tilting so i tend to just give her the juice out of the sippy and let her have a little practice when its full.
