Alimentum during an illness
« on: August 06, 2006, 15:47:37 pm »
Well, I guess it is not really an illness, but Nathan is just getting over a double ear infection.  He was on Amoxil.  We took him the the urgent care this morning because he will not eat his bottles and is so fussy.  We thought maybe the ears were not better.  However, the doc said the ears are fine but the digestive system is a wreck!!  He said he is very bloated, gassy, and his system is going 100 miles an hour :'( :'(

He suggested we go to Pedialyte for 2 days and no food he said He will  probably get very hungry though!!  YEAH!!!  So I asked about Alimentum since he was on it for the first 3 months of his life.  He said that would be fine.  He has reflux and I wonder if I should even put cereal in his milk or just go straight Alimentum for a week??  Anyone have experience with this??

When my boys got sick with stomach bugs I would give them Lactose free formula until they were better. It took about a week for their system to get back to normal.
