I was wondering how much milk is needed for a 9 month old in a 24 hour span. I breastfeed, but pump. Currently, his feeding schedule is as follows:
7 am- breast milk (6-7 oz)
8 am- cereal (3 1/2 tbsp.) and fruit (4 oz)
11 am- breast milk (6 oz)
12:30- fruit (2 oz) and veggie (4 oz)
3:00 pm- breast milk (6 oz)
5:30 pm- cereal (3 1/2 tbsp.) and fruit and/or veggie (4 oz in total)
7:00 pm- milk (6 oz) before bed
Am I giving him too much breast milk? :-\ He is drinking anywhere from 24 oz- 26 oz per day...
Thanks in advance for your help!

That amount looks fine to me! That is an average amount for a formula fed baby of the same age, some breastmilk fed babies don't seem to take as many oz as FF ones, but if he is happily drinking those amounts then it's fine for him!

Thanks for your reply, Laura!
I had my son's 9 month check up today and the pediatrician said that feeding milk in the mid-20 oz. (within a 24 hr. span) is exactly what he would suggest up to 1 yr. of age. So we are on the right track! :D
