When did 1-0 start for you?
« on: July 10, 2014, 07:13:23 am »
Just that really?
LO is 26 months old likes a nap I cap at 1.5 hours and goes to bed ok but taking an age to drop off...can hear banging and thudding when he's settling but day seems to be getting long.
Typically day is
5.45-6.15 WU
Nap 1pm at home (12.30 nursery) capped 1.5
BT 7.15 often not asleep till 8!
EBT seems to have stopped working.

Hates being woken from nap but once grump over he's happy and full of beans...!

Can't decide if molars or 1-0 as we have 2 more molars on the way but doesn't seem bothered by them!

Not an issue as such just pondering really  ::)

We had exact same scenario starting at about 27 mo. Last week or so she just refused nap or had long nap with really short night and was getting ot. So from 2h nap 2 weeks ago I'm doing 20 min cn and 12h ish days. She will be 2.5 on the 17th

We started around 2, totally done with naps by 2.5. He was on 11hrs sleeps a day (total) so it was better to have it all as one block.

About 26 months. Audrey was still napping consistently at her 2nd birthday but by a 2-3 months after that she was starting to take a LONG time to fall asleep at bedtime. She ws finished with naps before 2.5 - I was surprised because she had never been low sleep needs, in fact more on the high end. She would still nap if I let her, but then she's up larking about until 9pm. This way she goes to sleep as soon as I put her down at 6.30, and I wake her up at 7.15.

We started dealing with the 1-0 around 22 months. Its still going on. I find if he naps we get a max of 11.5hrs in 24hrs but without a nap he will do 12hr nights. He never refuses his nap amd he hates to be woken so i am trying a few NNDs a week now...

Oh me too - I really miss the nap. But, I do enjoy having her spark out at 6.30pm instead of singing ABCs until 9pm ;)

First NND at 22 months I think, all done by 29 months (and could have been a bit sooner but she kept sneaking in a quick nap at nursery until we told them to stop it!)

Following along.  DS is having NND or 1hr naps at daycare, still doing 2hrs at home on weekends.  Cutting molars as well.  Sleep is just plain crap all around.  Also not sure if it's the 1-0 or molars...likely both!

My DS is now 27 months and I think naps are gone. Been crying at nap time and bedtime and then waking in middle of night screaming. Trying "quiet time" today at nap. He is playing in there quietly. I guess we see how tonight goes.

Does he have all his teeth?  This happened to us for 3 weeks, just completely hysterical at nap time/BT, literally trying suicide missions out of his crib he was in such a state and I realized he was cutting a 2yr molar.  Now, things have calmed back down and he's going down for nap/BT like normal.

We've had a 25 min nap today at nursery aparently he was having no sleep he told them lol...still sleeping ok at home for naps and we've had a few weird nights with screaming wake ups and coughing so I think it's the last molars interfering too for us!! DS was fine tonight happy like he'd had a 2 hour nap!! I just don't know these days lol xx

My LO has had all his teeth since before age 2... I think he just is not tired. He told me today he was going to cry at nap! So he knows what he is doing... No nap yesterday but slept great last night. today after school he was so crazy, put down for nap and no crying.  guess it just depends.
