We did really well not getting loss of toys for Audrey's birthday. But I'd like her to get one or two for Christmas!
What were/are you rlittle one's most frequently/consistently played with toys from 2-3 years old?
-
Play kitchen, play food etc
Castle, house and little people
Buggy, pram and baby accessories
Balance bike
Scooter
-
Buggy is the thing that has been played with most consistently over the last lots of years! We got a proper silver cross-type one which gets loads of use.
-
Thomas the tank engine! And she is still playing with it :)
Other than that, puzzles, play kitchen and her art easel.
-
Brio and Thomas were our staples from 2-3yo. There are good bundles on eBay I think.
Also jigsaws got a lot of use, we had some lovely jigsaw books.

Believe it or not, these are Megan's favourite toy.
Unit blocks. She adores them. Builds beautiful, symmetrical structures. Makes patterns on the floor. Seems to find them calming as well.
They are much bigger than standard blocks.

Otherwise wooden cakes on little plates.

Little People here...they both still play with them! Masyn was in to simple puzzles at that age as well. Hmmm....tea set, mega blocks, dolls/accessories, musical instruments (which I hate but they love!)

Same here - B has got exactly the same blocks and E loves them. We are considering getting a second box for them as they both play with them every day. They are much better for building with than the small blocks we have - not as glossy and so they feel nicer and don't fall over as easily. Lovely shapes. Just pricey!

Not so much a toy but L loves 'sticking' which in our house usually means making collage type pictures from pictures cut from magazines, old greetings cards etc. last year she got a new Pritt stick in her stocking and was so excited!
-
Current favourite toy here: http://www.philipmorrisdirect.co.uk/master-class-deluxe-stainless-steel-rotary-whisk/product/?utm_source=GoogleBase&utm_medium=organic&gclid=CMa-yvKF5boCFfSWtAodFAwA2g. He cries every time we take it away! :D
-
lol that whisk has cracked me up :D
play kitchen
mega blocks
duplo train and blocks
jigsaws, jigsaw books for the first half of the year, now 'proper' jigsaws ranging 25 - 100 piece
various little characters duplo people, little people, TV character toys etc for imaginative play
animal sets - farm and safari tubs
musical instruments
magnetic sketcher/scribbler
This is one of the toys he has played with almost daily. Got it when he was about 6 months old and used to rotate it but now it's a stay-out-all-the-time toy. There is a setting for just music another for letters, for phonics and a quiz. He now likes to play the quiz and I can see it will hold his attention for the coming months too so it has been a very long lasting toy
