Changing to 4 hour EASY and dropped feeding
« on: March 22, 2006, 14:22:25 pm »
hi,
I've just tranisitioned my DS to the 4 hour EASY (he's 4 mos). My question is though now he has one less feeding a day. He had 5 plus one night feed (I don't do DF as it didn't work) with 3 hour easy and even into the transition (I transitioned him into 4 hour easy over a few weeks with 15 min increments every 3 days) and now he has 4 feeds and is up more at night - is this cause of dropped feed? I added ounces to his feeds- he was getting 6 and I upped it to 8 but it's still not the same amount of ounces he had before so now am a little confused on the 4 hour EASY and him getting a dropped feed and what to do so he gets the same amount.

Thanks!
Lauren

Hi
When we made the transistion we went from 5 to 4 feeds ( I don't do a d/f).

How many oz was he on before? Is he draining a full 8oz bottle?

he's not finishing his 8 oz mostly. He will do 7 but often not 8. However isn't this dropped feeding an issue? I guess I never thought about it until now- seems since he's getting LESS in the day of course he will wake more at night?
