4 WEEKS OLD - NOT SURE HOW TO BEGIN!!!! FTM
« on: November 15, 2014, 19:02:20 pm »
I am FTM and was always reading and listening to advice on schedules for babies. DS was great the first 2 weeks - sleeping and eating on a 3-4 hour schedule.
I am noticing now that he is up way more during the day, but sleeping on a 3 hour schedule at night, which is fine and I hope it sticks.
I have a few things I am unsure about...
what activities should be done during the A part of EASY?
If DS is still awake after his feed, do I let him stay up or try to put him to sleep?
DS usually eats about 4oz a feed, but some feeds he drops to 2 or 3, is it because hes full from the last feed?
I just feel so lost sometimes and I worry I wont be able to get him on a "mommy sane schedule"

Any help would be GREAT!!!

Hi there and welcome to BW! :)

It sounds to me like you are off to a good start. Many babies "wake up" about this age and sleep can get more unpredictable. In regards to your questions, "A" time should be kept very low key and mellow. Most LOs can't handle being awake or more than about 1 hour.

Have a look here and see what you think. Sample EASY Routines from 0 - 13mths+

Congratulations on your new LO!
