Thanks to both of you. Stacy- so far I have dropped the df and he wakes once anywhere from 1;30-4:30 . I feed him and thats fine with me. So it's still the early morning stuff but maybe that will resolve when I figure out the naps. In regards to wake to sleep I went in after 38 Min's and gently tapped him. He woke right up so then I used shh/pat. But he really resists it most naps. Sometimes he goes back for another 45 but often he keeps getting up every few Min's. He is definitely cranky most the time. A is usually 2 -2 1/2 hrs. He usually wakes around 6:30am and goes for a nap at 9. I know that seems like a long  A but maybe he doesn't need more sleep or maybe I'm  not reading his cues right.  I do use a humidifier which is pretty loud white noise and it drowns out most noise and I've been putting towels over the shades to keep the light out so I don't think that's what  it is. Stacy; I'm still confused isn't this post in the breast feeding forum? Phoebe
