What do you give for evening snacks ?
« on: October 13, 2010, 23:40:22 pm »
Hi Moms -

I was wondering what do you give your LO's for snack after their nap. Here is my daughter's schedule. She 15.5 months.

7 am - Wake up - 6-7 oz of milk
9 am - Breakfast - milk/cereal or  cream of wheat or toast
11:30am - Lunch (Pasta/ Veges and rice / Rice cakes / Indian home made meals )
12:15pm - Nap until 2:15pm
3pm - Afternoon bottle - 6 oz of milk
4:30pm - Snack time ( usually its 4 oz baby yogurt or slice of cheese and some cheerios - she is very picky with fruits )
6pm - Dinner ( Pasta/ Veges and rice / Rice cakes/ Indian home made meals )
8pm - Bottle - 5-6 oz of milk

She does not ask for the afternoon bottle, but never refuses it. When I give it to her she has 6 oz and still takes the 4:30pm snack. So I wasnt sure if I should drop the bottle or not.

Please let me know some good snack options as the baby yogurt has alot of sugar and she doesnt like the home-made fruit/yogurt puree that I made for her and secondly, winter is going to start soon and I dont want to give her cold snack everyday as she usually has this snack in the park.

Thanks :)

I am not sure where you live, but some adult yogurt offers high fat Vanilla flavour.  My Daughter loves this!
