From what I remember of my pumping days, you want to pump at each feed time to maintain your supply ;)  I used to pump at midnight and 5am too - gross.

Ideally, yes.

FWIW, with oversupply you could probably get away with pumping less (like morning, midday/naptime, just after BT and MOTN/after night feed) and keep your supply at a level that you can go back to feeding every 3-4hr reasonably easily - your body is pretty responsive to extra feeds. I say this because I got enough for 2 feeds in the morning and 1.5 feeds MOTN (expressed after L woke for a feed) and it actually helped reduce my supply to a more reasonable level. I did have a crazy oversupply though.

Hope you find something that works and helps T feel better soon :-*

What the others said :P

And keep going until the milk stops flowing and then maybe carry on for another 5-10 minutes.

Really hope you find something that works for T :-*

Thanks Amanda...Well it looks like the Neocate is working :-\ Kind of great but also sad. Right now I feel like I have a new baby, already. He is sleeping, he is settled, he STTN last night 11hrs and woke happy, he isnt grunting, wriggling squirming or crying out. I have a Dr apptmt tomorrow to review but I have a feeling its the end of the BF road for us :( Im so so happy and amazed at his progress. But sad that I cant do enough so that he can get what he needs from me.

Big *hugs*  I guess the only way would be to do elimination diets to pinpoint the problem, but it's whether you have the energy/inclination to go down that route, and I wouldn't blame you one bit if you didn't. :-*

Yeah I would pretty much need to cut out everything then reintroduce. I just don't have the energy or time and I feel my mental state with T being so unsettled is affecting DH and Z YK? I feel very guilty I am not trying more, with Z I would have, but then I only had him to worry about ....
Ill pump for a few more ads just in case.

Big hugs, sweetie. Glad T is doing better. Sad for you that this is likely the end of the BFing road :(
