Just a quick question say if he fell asleep on the way bk from the school run say 5/10 mins max would I still put him for his nap at his due time I'm really hoping it doesn't happen but If it did this is what I'm worried about school runs and him getting sleepy and falling asleep before we get home
It really depends on the LO. Some will just go and do their nap anyway, some won't. You'll find out. You might end up making that nap much later to accommodate the micro-nap on the school run and then that nap might need to be short (1hr, could be less) so that you keep on track for the next part of the routine.
Not sure if you meant the morning run or afternoon run. There are several options to fit the day in eg:
- micro nap on run, later nap, long first nap, decent A time, shorter second nap to wake up before school run
- micro nap on run, later nap, shorter first nap (to make sure enough time for second A time), decent A, long second nap to wake before school run
- shift the day, moving WU and all naps 15-30 min later means no micro-nap on school run because LO is not tired enough, decent A time, shorter first nap, longer second nap before school run so that the longer nap comes before the later BT
Lots of different options depending on how things are. I'd just go with the flow for now and see what happens.
Don't forget some LOs get one reduced nap towards 9 or 10 months and some even start the 2-1 transition around that time.
