Good luck, I worked myself into a frinzy trying to do "the right thing" at that age but my LO wasn't having it. It always resorted in him crying and me ready to scream. Give yourself a break...yes stick to the EASY schedule but when nap time comes, do what you and the baby are comforted by. Some may disagree but at that age my baby slept the best swinging in his swing. After I knew he was good and asleep I would cut the swing off and he would take a good long nap. Once he was four months he easily went down in his crib after changing him, giving him a paci, reading a book and putting him down. "Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child" says that at that age, 8 weeks, you can do what you need to help them nap. It is not until they are about four months to start helping them learn to fall asleep. Your LO is so young. I worried myself to death until my husband said that it was just rediculous why I wouldn't just let him sleep in his swing. I would take him out and put him in the crib and he would wake and cry and never go back down. Anyway, I envy those who could get theirs to nap like champs but my wouldn't until he was much older.
