How many cubes of solids?
« on: August 25, 2006, 03:58:34 am »
I have been making my own babyfood and freezing them in ice cube trays.  Does anybody know how many cubes of fruits or vegetables I should be serving per meal?  I've read that I should be giving my LO at least 5 servings of fruits or vegetable.  But how do you translate servings into cubes?  Am I making any sense?

Thx,
Mel

I consider one cube a serving.  It truely depends on the size of the cube (you can use water and a measuring spoon to determine the size).  I would offer your lo as much as he wants (as long as he is getting his breast milk/formula first).  It may vary every day as to how much he eats.
