Quick qu on first day with one nap...
« on: June 27, 2013, 12:54:15 pm »
I'm working today so LOs are with the minder who tells me LO2 refused to go for an am nap.  She made it to about 11.45 and went down.  Should we consider capping this one nap at all?  Any advice on how early EBT might be?  That's going to be tricky with LO1 around as well... :P

I wouldn't cap it and my dd used to do around 3hrs when she first went to one nap. If she did a short one I would go for 6pm bed, but if that's not feasible for you I guess just as early as you can? Hope lo does a good long nap for you!

As pp says, don't cap at all. Sounds like she is doing fab to last that long in the a.m.!

She's also a 'no sleep signs' baby.  Happy as a lark until you bring her up to her cot and then... bam... you find out how tired she is!!

Had one of those too - the upside is that as they get older they have the ability to be flexible (which we only ever use when we really need it) with their routine and keep on as long as you will let them!

She's still asleep at 3pm.  I think we'll get her up now!

Blimey! Yes, I would get her up - doesn't feel like capping when it's been that long!

So she was got out of the bed around 15h (I was still at work).  Early into the bath and eventually asleep at 19.30.

Bracing myself now, because she's done one nap days before and has had NWs.  I don't like NWs...

Fx for a decent night for you! Maybe if she is ready for one nap that aspect will fade?
