Title: 2 yr molars causing EW and making mummy grumpy
Post by: ZacsMumme on March 25, 2015, 01:29:11 am
T has cut his bottom two molars for the most part and the top ones are causing us grief. Im 99% sure his EW are related to them as he seems to also be grouchy on these days, and much happier if he gets some pain relief. Also then we go back to normal for a few more days etc.

Our routine is pretty much this
WU 7 (though on EW days it can be 5.30/6 and if we catch it early enough he will go back to sleep but less so atm)
Nap 1.30-2.30 capped
BT 7-7.30 usually 7-7.15

Anyone have any tips on keeping these EW at bay other than possibly giving him meds at silly hour? Or it it just another ride it out kinda thing...

Sadly Hun I think it may be a ride out thing. I never fully got to grips with waking myself up at 2am to give meds so in the end waited until E woke herself, and this did work for us as long as I got to bed early enough. ((Hugs))

He hasn't sleep elevated for reflux for over a year if that's what you mean Vicki? - I've never tried dream meds.
Yup he has about 3 in the cot. And muzzles and a stuffed cat. ::)
Last night he was fine but a crank all afternoon. :-\

Did you ladies tweak the nap a little or offer EBT on days where we didn't end up in going back to sleep?

Sorry Hun, do you mean he does or he doesn't  ???  I was meaning a pillow underneath the cot mattress to help the discomfort and pooling of blood around the teething sites.

Yes at first, but if it affected the nights, then I stopped. Usually it didn't as DS was always more tired when teething and more often than not, the following night/morning was disrupted too, so you have to allow CU somewhere YK  ???

Tom has not slept elevated in a long time is what I meant. He has a pillow in his cot anyway now and does sleep on it. Things seemed to have settled a bit. I guess we're just riding it out ??? Not much else we can do really is there.

We are offering EBT atm if he EW as the longer nap seems to really effect bt. Wah!

In that case, this is the best you can do I believe Hun. I hope it passes sooner rather than later! More ((HUGS)) x.
