Title: 18 mth refusing milk
Post by: *debs* on October 12, 2012, 20:10:36 pm
My 18 mth DS is refusing to drink any milk/formula. He's never been a big milk drinker since weaning from breastfeeding at 12 mths. He used to have a couple of ounces at breakfast and about 4oz before bed. Then he started refusing it at breakfast and now he won't even drink it at bedtime. I tried mixing half formula half full fat but he just threw it out his cot. Should I be worried or just let him have juice or water.

Hi debs, we are going through this right now only my LO is 19 months and he started to refuse when we went cold turkey on the bottles.  We found that he is making up for the calories by eating more and so long as LO is getting some calcium from other foods (cheese, yogurt, etc.) I think it's generally ok.

Good luck.
