question about cluster and dream feeding...
« on: February 09, 2007, 15:50:05 pm »
I am feeding both breast and bottle, DS2 has bottle in the evenings, I am feeding roughly every 2/3 hours sometimes 4 hours if DS2 hasnt had much sleep.  Lately my husband has been doing the last feed, ie I head off to bed early and DS2 stays up with DH until he wakes ready for the next feed, this could be roughly between 11pm/12pm, is this too late??  Also is he too young to be cluster fed and dream fed, he is only just 3 weeks.  So far he will wake around 2/3am and then 4/5am and then morning feed at 7/8am.  Would just like a bit of advice please.

Hi Tracey,

I would suggest clusterfeeding and dreamfeeding your lo, it will give him more a chance to tank up.

You could try clusterfeeding at 5 and 7pm, and then do your DF at around 10pm.  This way it is giving your lo more of a chance to tank up.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
