Ouch - my ovaries hurt

I just recently weaned my ds from 4 to 2 feeds last week.  The past three or four days I have had a constant ache in my ovary area on both sides, but mostly on my left.  I'm just wondering if when you dropped feeds, if ovulation can happen this fast, and if this could actually be the beginning of me ovulating.  If not, I think I will make an apt with my dr for next week, because it hurts quite a bit.

Before I had ds I only ever remember having cramps maybe twice in my life from AF.  But I hear this can be different after you have a child.

Any insight would be welcomed.

The last few months I have also had horrendous pain with ovulation whereas prior to having Carter I never felt anything!!!  I was concerned about it the first time it happened so I looked it up on the internet and found that ovulation pain can last anywhere from a few hours to 5-6 days!!!    It also said that it was more painful on one side over the other. 

I got AF back when Carter was only 2 months old (and it lasted a month!!!)  even though I was exclusively bf'ing.  Then I had nothing for 3 months and then it has been regular ever since so it differs widely with everyone I guess.  If you are still in pain tomorrow I would definitely call your Dr just to make sure but I am wondering if it is not your cycles getting back on track.  Ugghh ... eh?!!!

It sounds feasable, I know the few periods I had between DS my m/c and this PG were definatly very different to anything I experienced before. I felt myself ovulating which is something that had never happened before and I cramped alot worse that I used to. How long have you been getting the pain? I think its always worth going to get it checked out even if its just for peace of mind

I think I'm on day 5 of the pain.  Thanks for your thoughts.  I just wish it would go away.

Congrats again!  I only wish the pain I experienced was the same "kind" and for the same "reason" that you had it!    Hopefully in a few months it will be!
