I just got DS some washable markers and washable crayons. Until now he's been putting everything in his mouth, but seems to be taking to the markers in a big way.

I bought crayons for dd just days before she hit 1 yr. They are for one year olds (slightly larger in size and leave more colour on the paper with the lighter pressure). She LOVES to pull them out of the box, one by one, then tries to put them back in, one by one! I get free time for a good 20 minutes. She will now also scribble on paper but still prefers to practice taking them in and out of the box. She's now 14 months and has yet to taste one.
