Reflux cluster feeds
« on: July 02, 2013, 19:34:13 pm »
My 7 week old has reflux and I've just started the easy routine. He gets tummy ache when I do the 8 cluster feed, should I leave it and just do 4,7 and dream feed? Thanks!

I would! My two were both refluxers and neither were interested in cluster feeding, they weren't good dream feeders either so we just fed when they woke.

If you know the cluster won't suit him just stick to the 3 hour EASY - Tracy says to drop the clusters for a 3 hour EASY around 8 weeks anyway. If you are breastfeeding he may not be able to do 3 hours so feed when he tells you he is hungry.

Same here Hun. My refluxers just didn't go with the norm in the first 12/-16 weeks with cf or DF. Do what works - for us it was just 3-4 hr feedings and NF when my LOs woke for one.
