.thanks for your reply. I increased feeds in the day to 3hrly again and he was a fan of this idea (previously he would've snacked, but he is taking full feeds every 3hrs pretty much). The first day I did this, his first block of sleep at night was 5hrs. He hasn't done this since about 3mths old. He then woke 3hrly for the rest of the night. Now we are back to waking 3hrly at night mostly, however sometimes 2hrly, and after 4am, sometimes 1.5hrly. When he wakes more than 3hrly, I try to resettle using other ways But it doesn't work. Even giving him to my husband to be rocked. He refuses his paci and just cries. Not a historical cry, just a frustrated one. Eventually 1.5hrs of doing this, I offer a feed because it's time and he goes to sleep. I really don't know what to do. I don't like offering s feed at the end, but it's time to. He's being stubborn and I don't know what to do. He can't replug his paci, but to be honest, even if he could, I don't think he would. He LOVES using the paci in the day to settle to sleep, but he refuses it at night. Depending on our day, if super tired he will fall asleep on the breast for nights, but other nights he will go to sleep independently, half the time without his paci.
