I've been trying so hard with the 3-2 transition and I just can't get 2 good naps. I get one hr to hour 30/45 min and then I get a 30 min nap which screws up the whole day. Today he was up at 650 nap from 945-1130 I had to wake him and then down for next nap at 230 but only slept until 3. Some days he will do the opposite. Catnap in morning longer nap in afternoon. He's so all over the place. Now we will have to do ebt around 630. Any suggestions? Thanks

I ended up feeding him at 630 and he was asleep by 645 and he didn't get cranky and fussy or ot and he slept through the night without waking in discomfort like he had been. But he's awake at 6 am! Yikes maybe I should've woken him when that first nap went over 1.5 hrs? Would that have possibly lengthened his second nap?

He ended up falling back asleep this morning until 715 I put him down for nap at 10:15 but he woke at 1045! So i got my first catnap already today. So he'll be ready for next nap by 130-145 which brings me back to him being awake from last nap most likely by 230! Why can't i get him on 2 naps?!

Did you try to resettle when he woke up at 10:45?

The 3-2 transition takes some time for Lo to get used to. IIWY I would stick to the 3h A times for a while and if you still get short naps then increase by 10-15min and hold that for a while again. If you ARE getting short naps and don't manage to get to BT then I would do a super short CN if A times is more than 3-3.5h or would do an EBT.

This was how yesterday went :
7:15 awake
10:15-10:45 nap
1:45-2:55 nap
6:15 feed right to bed 630

But he was exhausted and fussy and cranky from about 4:30 on and he usually isn't   His bottle was at 3:30 and usually I'll feed him 3 hours later and put to bed (although his bottles are every 4 hrs during day) so even though he was exhausted I didn't want to put him to bed too early because he wouldn't eat. That 30 min catnap really throws everything off but he's been doing them forever. He's never been a good napper but does sleep 12 hours through the night.

So you think he might actually need more A time? Would that cause a catnap being ut? So if he wakes from last nap at 230 he should be in bed by 6?

I can't be certain he needs more A times. How is he waking from the 30min naps? If he wakes up happy and chatty then I would increase the first A time even more, by 10-15min, but if he wakes up cranky and crying then I owuld think he might be OT and then hold the 3h A time for a bit longer. If in a week there is not change with that nap then I would increase A time anyway by 10min.

Ok I'll give it a try today. Usually he wakes happy and refreshed but not always. He also sometimes wakes early aroubd 6 and I'll let him talk a little and see if he falls back asleep sometimes he does but it takes him 30 min or so and he'll fall back until around 7-730 ish. Sometimes he doesn't and I just go in and get him. Can that affect his first nap? Thanks

He went down for his nap at 915 3 hrs after waking but woke in 30 min crying. This nap was early due to him waking weaker than usual. His first nap is usually at 10. Was he ot or ut? He will go down for second nap at 1245 and probably sleep until 2 which then leaves a long time befire bed. Ugh

Yesterday he took 3 4 min naps ugh! The last one was from 3-330 and he had a good night didbt get ot or cranky which was great and I fed him by 630 and put to bed but he's been waking at 6 instead of his normal 7 am. He doesn't cry he's just up talking and moving so I don't go in to get him but it can take him 30 min or so to fall back asleep if he does. What can I do about the early wakings ? He's getting a lot of sleep through the night though but just wondering why the early wakings.

Also in the morning he rolls over to belly and then he must find it hard to fall back asleep because he has a hard time rolling back over. Even though he can do it when we have floor time
