What does your 18mo-ish DD like to do atm?
« on: December 15, 2009, 11:39:25 am »
I'm trying to figure out a nice gift for my niece. Not looking for product recommendations though per se - our theme is reduce reuse recycle  ;) - and we are trying to get creative with the kids' gifts. At 18mo my first monkey was banging tons of stuff, but my niece is a bit more delicate (though she just started walking) so I'm wondering what your dd's are enjoying so I can get some inspiration!

I have a pot banging monkey here!

But at 19 months, in her quieter moments, my DD loves art stuff....crayons and stickers are her favourite things!  Very helpful in restaurants!

She also loves story books and they are always a welcome gift!!

Musical instruments too with a CD we play along to.

Apart from that she tends to be very noisy and boisterous!

I guess that IS the age isn't it?! My niece is playful but is not all over the place. Maybe it's just a matter of time though till she's comfortable on her feet!

Art stuff is fun, that's the kind of thing Luke might enjoy making for her out of some of his papers, etc too. I also like the musical instrument idea!

It's so funny, it was barely more than a year ago when Luke was that age, yet I can't even remember what he was doing then!!!!
