NF changed: how do we adapt our EASY day??
« on: March 09, 2011, 13:08:55 pm »
Hi!!

Please, any advise or suggestions will help!

My 9wo has just started sleeping thru from DF @ 10:30pm until 4:15-5am for her NF.  The trouble is she is not hungry for her first feed of the day when I wake her at 7am because she just ate a couple+ hours earlier!  Generally she will only eat every 3.5h (except in early evening when she clusters 2-3h).

Now our whole day is off because she's gone for her first nap not having eaten anything!!

Help please! Has anyone experienced this? and how did you adapt your day??

Thank you
Cheryl

Hi there Cheryl,

Is your LO breastfed or bottle fed?  I may move it to the feed boards to get some more specific advice regarding this...

Can you get her to settle back to sleep instead of giving her a bottle at 5am?

You can either try and resettle as PP suggested or offer a reduced feed and then another feed to top her up when she wakes.

I actually offered her a bottle at 5:30 this morning and she refused! She was a little hard to get back to sleep, but once she did, she didn't wake up until 7!

A paci it will be going forward....!

THANK YOU!
