Formula Stools
« on: December 27, 2006, 20:11:04 pm »
Hello,

Recently my son's stools have changed from a firmer grainer style to a looser, peanut butter consistency.  The colour and odour seem to be quite similar.

Does anyone know why this change would occur?  He is 4 months old and is beginning to teeth (not sure if this is related)  He is on Nutramigen Formula.

Just wondering if I should be concerned and if anyone else has had similar.  The frequency of his stools has not changed 1-2 a day.

Your response is appreciated
Nadia

Hi Nadia,

When a lo is teething, their stools can be effected.  I am not sure the reason behind this, but it is a sure sign that they are teething.

I would just keep an eye on your DS and make sure that his stools do not turn to diareah.  Just monitor him and see how it goes.
