Title: waking from nap ofr next feed!
Post by: dd2flick on November 30, 2005, 10:58:31 am
Morning all just a quick question that Has been bothering me.
My little 10 week old woke this morning at 7.50am . I fed her till 8.20am and put her down for her nap around 9am. (took her 20 min to settle). Anyway do I wake her from the next feed at 11.20 or 10.50am. What I am saying is
do I take the feeding cycle from the end of her feed thus allowing her to sleep longer?
I hope this makes sense
dianne :)

The feeding cycle should go from the start of one feed to the start of the next. So if she feeds at 7am and is on a 3hrly, her next feed should be around 10am.

While some say don't wake a sleeping baby, it is important to get the right number of feeds in during the DAY time. Around 4-10 weeks a lot of babies get their days and nights mixed up and want to sleep during the day. And then they're up all night. So you're doing good to keep her eating during the day!
