Snacks are necessary?

Hi!!! DD eats every 4 hours and she does not drink drink much milk so I am not sure if I should give a snack between main feeds or leave her like that. She eats ok and sleeps great , bu I heard that they should have some snack is it true or I should avoid them.?  ???

It kind of depends on her routine. If you don't do bottle and solids at the same time, you're kind of already doing a snack, KWIM? We didn't start snacks until we dropped formula and the bottle at 1 yr, and it made sense for us at that point. If we didn't offer snacks, Tyler would be going 4-6 hrs between meals, and that was waaaay too long for him. There's really no reason to avoid them, as healthy snacks are normal for growing toddlers because their tummies are just too small to go several hours without food. If she's happy and growing, you could easily leave things as they are until she starts showing signs that she needs food more often.

Thanks. The thing is that she only has a bottle at 7 30 pm and her first food is at 8 then at 12 and then at 4 with no milk in between cause she does not like it. We have food eith juice or water and just one bottle of milk. I add formula in her food, but she is eating every 4 hours with nothing in between she is ok but she does seem really hungry after 4 hours.
