Rid of 8pm cluster at 8 weeks??
« on: June 23, 2012, 23:37:54 pm »
In the book under 3 hour EASY it says to move 8pm cluster feed to 6pm.  So when do I feed again after that?

Do I wait until dream feed or do one at 9pm?

I'm of the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' world - if cluster feeding is working, stick with it.

If you are putting LO to bed for the night at 7pm, you'd feed at 6:30ish and then a DF at 10ish if you so choose. DF is ideally done about 3hr after asleep for the night as that's when its least likely to disturb LO's sleep.

I would just feed last thing before bed -- at that age, 2 out of my 3 wanted to nurse frequently in the late afternoon/early evening so we just did in order to keep them happy.  My other one wasn't into frequent nursing in the evenings, so I just fed before bed and then did the df a few hours later.
