finding it impossible to feed
« on: April 04, 2014, 11:19:01 am »
Arg!DD is just SO distractable these days...or for
the past two months really i guess! :o
how do you cope? She won't allow a blanket over her.
I can't even take my phone out without her turning
inside out&upside down to have a gawk! ::)

lol, we had that too. Have you tried a darkened room or a nursing necklace?

Dark room works, but it has to be almost pitch black!
I've never heard of a nursing necklace?

I had to feed in her dark bedroom with white noise on...it is getting better though as I can feed her out in the living room so long as the tv is not on!  She still stops to look around but gets back to business pretty quickly.

We went through that too!  They are so curious!  We had to go to darkened rooms with nothing around for a couple months and unfortunately back to a couple of night feedings!  Now at 14 months she can't get enough - so vibes that this phase will pass soon for you!!!  Hugs

Provide distraction in the right direction and something for baby to fiddle with...unless you are E, she grabs my hair/face/glasses or rubs my free hand with hers.

Medi plays with my bra strap ::)  I can't wear a necklace; it's way too interesting.

to be honest I just used a normal beaded necklace. Just made sure it had thick string so she couldn't snap it.
I remember this phase, DH had to stand behind me making faces so DD's head pointed in the right direction, otherwise she'd be all over the place.
