Just wondering...
Lydia and Sam have a bottle when they wake, then cereal. Then another bottle and cereal around 3 1/2 - 4 hours later, then another bottle and veggies 3 hours after that. If they are awake when we have our evening meal they will have some off the plate.
A couple of times I've had to go and get another bowl of cereal for their 2nd meal as they are just so hungry.
Do you give 4 meals and when?
Thanks

I do three meals and look at what she is like. I f showing hunger in between meals I give a rusk/ rice cakes bit fruit. Nothing more so that she will eat at mwal times.
How old are they?
Do they have carbs and protein. If not getting enough carbs/protein and too much veggies/fruit they will not get as full.

I agree stick to 3 meals a day and perhaps a afternoon snack if they are hungry in the afternoon.

At that age Ewan was eating three pretty big meals and then he would have his bottle as a sort of snack in between. I found that this way he was never fussy due to hunger.

Debs, they are 11 months, but were 3 months ealry, so 8 corrected. I always get confused. Should I treat them as a year, or 8 months old ???

Hey Wendy,
I think they are probably hungry as they are not getting much protein (milk aside LOL) or any more age-appropriate foods. As for how you should treat them - i would go by their abilities. They can sit up in their highchairs right?? Maybe start some finger foods? I know you are scared by them ;) ;) :-* :-* but they will never learn if they don't get to try it! I started Red with breadsticks, steamed carrot sticks, pasta pieces, fruits, toast, cheese. Give them these along with their puree. Are you doing meat/ fish yet? Are you intending to? If you are then maybe you could add some chicken to their puree??
With Red we do:
Milk
breakfast (cereal and toast and fruit)
snack (only if wingy - fruit, rice crackers, milk)
Lunch
snack (as other snack!!)
dinner
Milk

Hi Ladies,
Clair, they do eat some finger foods. L better than S. They have strips of chicken, toast, potato, cheese, veg, blah, blah! But they have a hard time picking it up, esp Sam.
Lydia LOVES spag bol and garlic bread. They are really keen on salmon too.
Sam seems to have a problem with swallowing lumps. I know this is natural, but it's not funny when he throws up all over DH! Well, I think it is ;)
