Growth spurt... more breast or more solids
«

Hi, I think my lo has reached her 6 month growth spurt. MY question is, do you think we should feed more breast milk, or add in the 3 solid feeding (she's been on solids 3 weeks and eats them twice a day).
Thanks

I would say first choice is more breastfeeding. Make sure your supply will be there to meet her increased need once the growing/ developing has occurred. (Her feeding more happens
before
the actual growth spurt to prepare your supply). I guess you could always add in the 3rd solid feed as well or soon after but make sure she gets offered milk first. It's important that milk is the primary source of nutrition and that solids intake doesn't prevent her from taking all the milk she needs. (Apologies if you know all this and I'm talking too much!)

Thanks.
That's pretty much what I was thinking, just wanted the second opinion.
