Thanks for all the napping/driving advice. Again...I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with the problem. I will probably continue to drive around with her when she falls asleep, unless I absolutely can't for some reason.
Yesterday, it took me 2.5 hours of going in, winding down, rocking her, etc. to get her to sleep. I even fed her, she was asleep, put her in crib and she woke up!!! I probably would have just let it go, but we had to go to a b-day party last night and I knew she would need the nap. After 2.5 hrs of trying, she only slept for 45 min. So I was really nervous about how she'd be at the party. But, she did GREAT!!!! She laughed at everyone and had a good time (I was really excited, because usually new people/places make her a little uneasy.) We stayed until 10:00!!! (Didn't plan on it, and that's the first time we've done that in 8 months! But all of our good friends were there, and Liv was doing so well, I didn't want to leave!) We changed her into PJs and fed her there before we came home. I knew she'd sleep in the car (about a 20 min drive), but I was prepared for a fight at home and a long night. I took her out of her car seat and she stayed asleep!! I took her coat off....and she stayed asleep!!! I rocked her for just a minute, cause she started to stir, then I put her in her crib...and she stayed asleep!! She slept until 7:30 this morning!!!! I was so excited!!!!
We DEFINITELY won't be doing that all the time. (We usually just let our social life suffer for the sake of her bedtime.) But for the rare occasion that we are out that late, it's nice to know she can do it.
Hope everyone's night went well. I'd like to make the chat sometime, but Fridays are hard...that's usually my time with DH. Maybe one of these days!
Have a great weekend everyone! Off to make breakfast for DH and my little munchkin!!
