Bedtime= playtime?
« on: July 26, 2014, 17:37:49 pm »
What do I do if my baby flips over the moment I put him in his crib and starts crawling? It's a new skill he's acquired so I assume the need to move will pass? Do I just leave him or try to settle him with PU/PD?
One more question: should I loose the newborn basket insert I use in his pack n play now? He doesn't pull up on things but he's very much on the go. (5.5 mo old)

Hi, I'd leave him to it if he's not upset. With any new skill they practise at BT and naps so just try and practise as much as you can in A time. Generally these things pass after a couple of weeks. I used to find my LO upside down, sideways on, feet up the bars you name it ha ha!! Sometimes I used to sneak in and straighten him up but not often for fear of waking him!

I'd loose the insert if he's now mobile.

Oh ok. I just left him and he fell asleep on his tummy and slept two solid hours. Wow!
But what about moving him out of the infant basket?

My LO was a tummy sleeper at about 5 months, he slept so much better on his side or tummy.
Is your infant basket a Moses basket as such? When does he sleep in that? Sorry not sure what a pack and play is?!x

He sleeps in the infant insert of a travel crib.
