i was just reading the WHO info, i was confused because some people were saying different ways on how to make up formula. someone said e.g if you were to add 7oz water to 7 scoops of formula then that would make up 8oz and would be wrong. thats exactly what it says on the WHO info.

You need to follow the instructions on the tin for how much powder to water. In the UK all our formula is 1 scoop to 1 oz but I think in other countries they have bigger scoops so its 1 scoop to 2oz of water.

The overall volume in the bottle does increase slightly because of the space the powder takes but over the course of a day it will only be a couple of oz more assuming all bottles are dreained so don't worry about that. Even though the bottle looks slightly more you will have 7oz of water and 7oz worth of calories and nutrition in the bottle (if you were doing a 7oz bottle ;)). The most important thing to remember is to always put the water in the bottle first to make sure there is the correct amount. If you put the powder in first you won't be able to measure the water accurately and could make the milk too concentrated.

Does that help?

No problems!

You best bet is to always follow the directions on the can - other people don't always know what they are talking about ;)

If you need to know anything else, please just ask!
