Typical A time for a 15 month old? How long is your LO's day?
« on: November 15, 2010, 16:08:23 pm »
Just trying to get an idea of how long my LO's day should be.  He started nursery 2 months ago and has properly settled in now.

He has gone to just one nap now (started refusing his morning nap about a week ago) but just wanted to get an idea of how long his day should be.  We are having a few NWs and i think its OT but not sure.

He isnt eating too well at nursery so will have a full bottle of milk during the night.

thanks!!

At 15 months our routine was:

8am Wake up
12.30 Nap (2.5-3 hours)
3/3.30pm  Wake up
8/8.30pm Bed

Hi

thanks so much for this.  So normally a 12 hour day?  My LO is up at about 6am (cant seem to get him to sleep for any longer - on occasion he has slept till about 7am, but thats only when he has had a bad night) and is in bed at about 7:15.

So just over a 13 hour day....wondering if i should try and cut it back?

My DS does a 13h day.  He's always been more of an 11h night sleeper, so we adjusted his one nap to meet that need plus his A time needs.  He's been on this routine since 13 mo:

7: Awake
12-2:30/3: Nap
8: Bedtime

We tend to do 11.5 hour night here so 12.5 hour day generally.  13 hour day is fine so long as he's getting enough day sleep to keep him going.   How much does he usually get?

My son is 14 months and a good day (not effected by teething/illness) looks something like this

6.30 - A
11.30/12 - S (2-3 hrs)
7 - S

So a 12.5 hr day with a 2-3 hr nap.

Bath at 6.30pm
Bed at 7pm
