am I feeding enough
« on: August 21, 2006, 07:08:18 am »
My 8 month old LO started solids around 51/2 months. She absolutely loves them, so no problems there, I am still giving the bottle half hour before solids. (when does that change)

Do people generally feed solids until LO gives cues that she has had enough? For example this morning my LO had 7oz formula then half hour later I gave her some cereal (whole weetbix) usually she leaves some but today she ate the whole lot. Should I have offered her some more food? I am just worried about her eating too much solids and dropping her milk feeds. (has never been a good drinker)

What do you think

As long as your DD is still taking her normal intake of bottles and he is looking for more food then by all means give him a little more. As for changing around bottles and solids you can switch them around if you like we did it at around 8months. If you find it is interferring with her bottle intake then switch it back for a while.
