yeah I have tried it, but it makes everything ton worse as Gage gets crazy when I interfere. He did sleep 1.5 hr today after being up for almost 3.5 hrs on his first A time :o He struggled in his crib for awhile trying roll/crawl and scream. He was fine when I took him out of the room. could it be possible that he is able to stay up for longer than 2.5 hrs. I just dont know what to do... I am so confused as to when to put him down for a nap. :'(

gage's mom -

Was he napping well before?  My DS was napping very well before and suddenly this past week has been waking up earlier and earlier.  I tried PU/PD - didn't work, and everything.  Nothing worked.  Come to find out the poor boy was teething and catching a little cold. Shame on me.

I would probably try wake to sleep as well if PU/PD doesn't work.  But make sure everything's fine with him.  Don't want to be like me...=P

Kyan's mom, he may be teething? I have been giving him tylenol just in case, but it doesnt seem to make a difference. If this is the case what should I do? I cant just go with the short naps because he will develop a bad habit. Right?

Have you checked to see if he's teething, or checked his temperature to see if he's okay?  You can use your fingers and rub around his gums.  See if you can feel a bump and see if his gums are swollen or red.

This depends on you, but for me my LO is teething and has a cold.  I can't stand to see him hurting and I"m terrified losing sleep again. LOL

I still stick to my EASY as much as possible, but I'm not as tough with him.  For example today for each naps DS only slept for an hour each nap.  I tried to put him back to sleep, but he only cried more and more.  So I took him out to cuddle.  During the morning nap he cuddle and got sleepy again, so I put him back in the crib and he fell asleep by himself once  he was able to relax.  Afternoon nap he woke up after an hour and didn't want to go back to sleep, so I let him be.  I know the routine and how to get back on track, so after teething and cold goes away, I'll definitely go back to the routine if he acts up. LOL

It's up to you and what you feel comfortable with.  Make sure he is teething or make sure everything is okay though.  I haven't given my DS any tylenol yet, but I do give him some hyland's teething tablets once in a while if he has a hard time napping.

Hoped that help.
