Title: Breastmilk to donate in Canada
Post by: Dannys Mom on August 27, 2007, 22:33:00 pm
Hi everyone,

my daughter Emily was born 4 weeks ago, and just as with Daniel (her big brother), I have a lot of milk, some of which I would be happy to donate to anyone needing. We only have one milk bank in Canada, and that is located on the opposite side of the country in Vancouver. Since I live in Toronto, I am first looking for someone close here who would need it.
I am healthy, and have been checked for infectious diseases by blood-tests both at the beginning of my pregnancy, and again just before my daughter was born since I stored her cord-blood.
You can contact me directly by personal message if you are interested.

Kristina

Kristina, that is an amazing gesture.

Have you tried calling a hospital or maybe a lactation consultant who would have a better idea of someone that could use it?

The world needs more people like you.
