Just wondering if anyone has any good advice for cough relief while sleeping? My one-year-old wakes himself up from this nasty cough he has. I've heard after a year you can give them a little spoonful of honey? Anyone tried this or anything else that worked?

I haven't used it that young but I use it with my 3 1/2 year old. I heard somewhere along the line manuka honey is especially healing so I give her teaspoons of it for her reflux and when she has a cold. There was just a study done too recently that said honey is as effective, if not more, than cough medicine so...

I give a teaspoon of honey (we use Manuka honey too) with my girls.... they are both sick at the moment. I mix it with milk or just water.

Great - I'll try it! Thanks!

But won't they then be sleeping with sugar on their teeth?

Most med has sugar though and we don't make LOs clean their teeth after giving med ;)
If it meant they(and me) got a better night's sleep, it wouldn't bother me once in a while!
Haven't you ever gone to bed without cleaning your teeth?! I was trying to think of the last time I did......it must have been before DS and in a drunken stupor ;D ;D
