How do you know when it's time to drop naps all together? And do you give an earlier bedtime after that? My son is two and is fighting naps again, but he does fall asleep after awhile. Just wanted to know what the signs were. Thanks for your help!

I think it's different in so many cases. In our case Sam was about 2yrs 3 months when his bedtime started to get later and later as he just wasn't tired enough. He would nap from 12.30 to 2pm maybe but then not be tired before 8.30-9ish. It took ages for him to fall asleep. So I dropped the naps cold turkey and brought bedtime much earlier. I can't remember exactly but it was around 6.30 maybe. And he'd be asleep in 10 minutes. Whenever he slept in the car he would go back to not sleeping easily and not falling asleep before 9pm.
I think Sam was at the young end but most of his friends dropped their naps around 3 - either just before or after.

You coudl try adding more A time before you offer the nap. At around age 2, Isabella would go down for a nap around 12-12.30 (wake up at 6ish) and her nap was reduced to 1.5hrs. She would go to sleep around 7pm and fall asleep around 7.30pm. So all up she would sleep around 12hrs in total.
