I'm just wondering, very randomly, if there's anyone using this forum that actually met Tracey? I'd have really liked to have met her I think. As I'm sure we all would.

I've always wondered that too.
Anyone?
-
I haven't, but I believe there are still some "old-timers" still around that have had phone consults, at least...
-
I think Deb consulted Tracy and I don't know if that was in person or over the phone, but that's all I know of.
-
Laura, Diego's Mama (former admin) knew her fairly well. There are several folks around who had consults with her. :) Colleen's first (I think) DS was actually in one of the books!
-
Wow that would of been amazing to have spoken to her or meet her, she was/ one remarkable lady.
-
I've got to admit I didn't know she'd passed until I came on the site. Id read all of the books and was hoping Id find a number to give her a bell. Was really sad when I saw all the "rememnering Tracy" stuff and realized this woman who'd helped so much just through her books was not about. In a way she is thoguh hey, this site will make sure of that.

Never "met" her, but back when the website was new, a dh of one of the members "made" us a chat room. We'd come on every Sunday night and Tracey often joined us.
-
So Cool, I would have loved to meet have met her. Awesome about the chat room.

I agree, very cool about the chat room.

Years ago I remember reading "How the BW website started" on here somewhere, one of the oldtimers told the story. Wish I could read that again...
-
I would have liked to meet her too!!
-
Ah, yes, my phone consult with Tracy was my very first Mother's Day present from DH. It didn't take much overtired Mommy sobbing to get it. LOL Bless my DH for that. :)
Starry* - anyone remember her? Really old-timer here on BW! - had met her a few times and I think was corresponding with her for a while.
It was fun when the book BWSAYP came out, we were all hunting around for which of the examples fit which of us. There was a bit in there about talking thru the day at bedtime to help LO's process the day that I think might have come from us. It was neat to know that she'd been reading and following the forums and using our real-life issues to help others solve theirs - and here we are, still at it! :)
-
thats pretty cool deb!
-
I remember Starry met Tracy - her lad was called Jonah wasn't he? I wonder what happened to her, not seen her for ages.
I know there's a few others who's children were featured in the book, although i think names were changed.
I would have loved to meet Tracy too!

She did...they spoke on the phone several times, I believe.
(Pssst, deb, Starry* is on my Facebook list, btw...)
-
Cool Wendy! I've met Starry* - does that count?
-
Almost Deb. And that talking through the day at bed time - we do that, Enfys is quite touchy and I find it helps. Ok, I talk and she listens, but it helps me!! I'm hoping it's something we'll always do.
-
I met her... well I was lucky enough to call her "Mum" she was a remarkable lady who looked at all as a part of a huge Babywhisperer family.....
-

Hello Sara. I remember seeing a post from you ages ago and wondered if you were still posting here. Good to see you back.
-
I had the extreme pleasure of getting to know Tracy through many, many phone consults over a number of years. I first 'met' her when I was at a very rough time in my life. At 15 months, my dd had NEVER slept through the night or fallen asleep anywhere but on my breast. And had not started solids. We were both a wreck. Literally falling apart. I talked to her every day for 2 weeks straight. She helped my dd and I to get our lives on track. And yes, our situation is mentioned one or twice...okay, many times... in her book, BWSAYP. She once said my dd was one of her most stubborn and challenging babies. :-[ The first time we did pu/pd I had to pick her up and put her down 283 times!!! Doh. But as she says, after 3 days, I put her down and she was ready to try to sleep w/o me holding her. Amazing!!!
I mean this in all honestly when I say that she was a dear friend and mentor. I never 'met' her in real life but she impacted mine tremendously. I miss her. I was fortunate to share some of my happiest news with her. :) I can still hear her voice: calling me 'luv,' telling me I was a good 'mum,' not to doubt myself, not to think too much.
Sara, glad to see you here. We spoke on the phone and you made the appointment for our first consult. And one of the later ones, too. Thank you! I'm sure you will wonderfully carry on your mom's legacy. :)
For all those who are still being touched by Tracy, know that she was an incredible, intuitive woman. The most intuitive person I've ever known. Her philosophies live on in her books and here at babywhisperer. com. You're in good company. :)
I will forever remember Tracy.
-
I wish I could of met her her book has so made a huge impact on how I raise my kids and made the process of being a mum enjoyable for me.
And sara, TY for sharing your mum with us..
-
Cool.
-
Oh my. I so wish I could have spoken to her. Such an amazing woman. She's made such a huge impact on how I raise my children - her ethos has really enabled me to respect my children but maintain a certain level of control which is such an amazing balance. I'll always be grateful to her.
-
ditto to that :-* :'(
-
Yeah, that's why I was wondering if anyone had met her. She's had such an influence on my life as a mother, I feel like I know her, and would like to thank her in person. I wish I could :'(
