Hello - I think I read somewhere here before that waking at 6 AM is not really considered a EW. My 9 month old LO goes to bed between 7-8 PM and sleeps until 5:45 AM or 6 AM. I REALLY wish I could get another hour our of him but regardless of the time he goes down (7 PM or 8 PM) he always seems to be up early.
When he doesn't go to daycare his easy is:
w 6 AM
nap 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM (i know this is too short of an A time but he is so tired and goes right to sleep...)
nap 1:00 - 230 PM
Bed at 7:30 ish
He goes to daycare three days a week and when he is there his EASY is pretty screwy. Basically:
w 6 AM
Nap in car 7:15 - 7:45 (i bet this is "robbing" his night sleep)
2 short naps of 30 or 45 minutes at daycare
Nap in car 4:15 - 5:00
Bed 7:30
Thoughts on how to get him to sleep a little later?

HI there, it's considered an EW if less than 10.5 hrs night sleep. So yeah depending on his bedtime and depending on his wake time, you may have an EW. Some kids are just really early risers at heart though and nothing you do really helps except time and development (ask me - I have a nearly 18 mth old who still wakes before 6 most mornings *sigh*)
I do think you need to move that first nap out though. 2.5 hrs A time is what a 6 mth old is typically doing. You need to boost it to 3 or even more hours. He's tired because his body clock is set that way.
He sounds OT overall, probably due to the daycare situation. Is there any flexibility there? Could you get them to follow the same schedule you do at home?
Earlier bedtime for sure is needed. He has a long day.
