can anyone help? My 4mth old was a brilliant sleeper up to 3months. Then suddenly she started waking at 3.30 every night. I give her a soother and she goes straight back to sleep. Is she waking for the soother? I don't feed her at night, and because she goes back to sleep until 6/6.30 I haven't tried to feed her. Or is it habitual waking? She's on a 4hr EASY. I've tried W2S at 2am, but she still wakes at 3! It's a real problem because I can't get back to sleep so i'm really really exhausted. HELP PLEASE!!

Hi there, it could be habitual, it could be a need for more A time or she could indeed be hungry. There is a large growth spurt at 4 mths and not uncommon for LO who slept through to start waking. Could you post your day for us.

Hi Wendy,
thanks for replying. Our day is
6am wake
6.30-7am feed
7-8.30 Activity
8.30-10.30 Sleep (she wakes a few times during this nap, but goes back to sleep easy enough with the soother)
10.30-11 Feed
11-12.30 Activity
12.30-2.30 Sleep (she usually sleeps much better for this nap)
2.30-3 Eat
3-5 Activity
5 45min catnap
6pm Feed
7pm Sleep
11pm Dream feed

HI there, she may be getting too much day sleep. At 4 mths when LO transitions to the 4 hr EASY some LO only need the 2x 1.5 hr naps + CN
Have you tried capping her nap?
I also wonder if that first A time is too long. If she's having trouble transitioning while napping she may be OT. Normally they are doing 2 hrs A time, 2.5 is more like a 6 mth old.
