Now there are even medical terms censored into 'bits' :o
And you cannot swear in PMs? C'mon, we are all adults here. And the word m ar king is also used in different contexts.
Is it possible to be a little more lenient?

I agree Steffi xx

Well I just checked the list of censored words and nothing new has been added recently. FWIW I didnt see any medical terms on there ;) all words would be considered swear words

Now even though I do tend to swear like a trucker in my real life (not in front of my kids) I dont foresee that happening. Lets not forget that we have a very varied membership and some people dont like that sort of language. Not to mention some of us (myself included) have kids who read over our shoulder.
As for M ar king we have already had discussion on why we were trying to discourage people from doing that

I absolutely agree about censoring swearwords for public threads. But in PMs? That used to be different than what you could say in the forum.
And marking... well, if you talk about medical stuff, markers for anything are a big thing. So are the male and female parts. C l itoris?

Just please make the rules different for PMs, because swearing is a great way of getting rid of negative emotions (proven, honestly) and in threads, medical parts. A few months ago, you weren't allowed to use the words circumstance or car seat. Seriously, someone is taking it a wee bit too far.

I dont think its possible to turn it off in pms I couldnt be wrong I run an smf forum too and Im pretty sure its just an over all word censor

Steffi--there used to be an option where the user could choose to be censored or not, but that option disappeared. Perhaps you had not chosen to have the censor on and that's why you used to be able to swear in PMs?
