Title: 16 month paci/dummy removal advice needed!
Post by: girl29 on August 10, 2011, 06:21:54 am
Hi everyone,
My baby is 16 months and is an ok sleeper (not amazing)! He has a dummy for naps and night time I normally just put him in play some music and give him his dummy and he setteled most the time!
But the last week he is refusing the dummy (I think teething related)...  For sleep time it has become impossible (I feel like I am forcing it in when he doesn't want it) I am stuck I can't get him to sleep.. I feel like this is a sign to maybe get rid of the dummy?
Thoughts? Advice?

Hi hun funnily enough my LO did the exact same at 15mo-v suddenly did not want the dummy, I think it must have been teething related. I was not ready though!! I kept trying for a week but she was not interested so that was it-we chucked it and never looked back. Are you worried about settling without it?
X
